Technology in Science
Use and Purpose of Technology in my class

In today's society, kids almost or in many instances know more about technology than the parents or the educators. This, however, does not hinder the learning process of technology for our students, but rather enhances their learning. I am fortunate enough to know and love working with technology in most aspects especially web page design, power point, and computer literacy. I in no way claim though, that I am an expert in any of these areas. This is where the kids come in. Together we will explore how technology can benefit us as they teach me what they know while I share with them what I know. This sharing of knowledge will help open up new ideas as well as aid in the understanding of scientific concepts. The word "aid" is the keyword to note. Technology will NOT replace instruction; rather it serves as SUPPORT for instruction. I plan on using the following forms of technology frequently for the pursuit of scientific knowledge:

Multimedia Presentation station
Videos
Internet Explorer
Micrsoft Office (word, excel, power point)
Web Page Design (Dreamweaver)
Interactive CD-Roms (textbook, etc.)
