                          and Purpose of Technology in my class
 |  |            In today's society, kids 
                  almost or in many instances know more about technology than 
                  the parents or the educators. This, however, does not hinder 
                  the learning process of technology for our students, but rather 
                  enhances their learning. I am fortunate enough to know and love 
                  working with technology in most aspects especially web page 
                  design, power point, and computer literacy. I in no way claim 
                  though, that I am an expert in any of these areas. This is where 
                  the kids come in. Together we will explore how technology can 
                  benefit us as they teach me what they know while I share with 
                  them what I know. This sharing of knowledge will help open up 
                  new ideas as well as aid in the understanding of scientific 
                  concepts. The word "aid" is the keyword to note. Technology 
                  will NOT replace instruction; rather it serves as SUPPORT for 
                  instruction. I plan on using the following forms of technology 
                  frequently for the pursuit of scientific knowledge:
